Family photos are a cherished tradition that requires a significant amount of preparation. It involves selecting a date, finding an ideal location that appeals to every family member, coordinating outfits that everyone is happy with, and hoping that everything comes together seamlessly. However, even with meticulous planning, there is always the possibility that a toddler with a mind of their own may not be interested in participating. It can be frustrating for parents but rest assured, family and children photographers encounter this every day!!  Don't worry!  We know what to do! :)     

Professional photographers have a plethora of tricks up their sleeves to ensure that everyone involved has a good time and that the resulting photographs are happy and timeless. They have games to play, songs to sing, and other creative ways to elicit smiles and laughter from even the most reluctant of participants.

During any photo session, we "create" candid moments.... but the unscripted ones, like a child turning their back or crossing their arms, are the most priceless "outtakes".  These unscripted shots often become the most cherished, capturing real-life moments that are both relatable and endearing. They offer an authentic representation of our lives, in contrast to the 'perfect' families we see on social media. They serve as a reminder of the joys and challenges of family life, creating memories that will be treasured for years to come.

Family photographs capture the essence of the family, their personalities, and relationships. They are a tangible record of cherished moments that can be revisited and enjoyed for generations.
